Corcaigh

A new job (I know, finally!), trainings in another city (oh well, that was fun) and an extended weekend is what kept me away. But I came back all hands full. Got a great weekend by the sea and in the mountains. Saw great scenes that no photo or word can reflect really. Saw a gazelle from a 100 m, fed wild duck looking weird bird couple, saved a dog from the shore that has been stranded because of the tide, had a great cup of coffee high in the mountains from the thermos I carried everywhere, lied in the grass under the blue sky by a gorgeous ocean scenery. Luckily the weather was beautiful. Got great shots which I am sharing here. Apparently there are really beautiful places in Irelad yet waiting to be discoverd.

Meanwhile, as I started to work all the social activities seems so get more intense compared to times I had the all day. Buts thats fine I guess. Seeing friends, especially the ones that lives far away, just makes me happy. At the same time, I am sad that good friends are leaving Dublin for good. Today I'll go out for dinner with a friend who is leaving on Sunday.

So far thats all. The rainy weather and the working routine is back on. Remind me to stay colorful.

To play or not to play

I realized the times my inner author comes alive are the ones when its rainy and cold. So no wonder why Shakespeare and all other famous authors are from mostly England. You can even take popular Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings (J. K. Rowling and Tolkein) into account. At the end what they describe is England, and I got pretty clear picture of that by living there.

(p.s its not rainy today)

Since I mentioned the Harry Potter, I know realize that we spent the whole week playing Lego Harry Potter and Monopoly on Xbox. Harry Potter could be the best Xbox game from the lego series. The gameplay is so addictive, or it is to me since I read the whole Harry Potter series and bought the books at the moment they were published. For the Monopoly, it canput you on the odds with even your closest (did I mention that I am quite ambitious). Anyway, they are fun I can't wait the after-dinner time to continue where we left.

The Lollipop Tower

I haven't been writing much. Not like I used to write. I guess there are many things that has put me out of track. But here is one proof: Nice and warm weather (+funfairs on the street). How sun and blue skies makes everything different can be observed here in Dublin. The gloomy and dark posture of the city turns into something fun, something deceiving that you almost love it. Well well, guess what. As I am writing this post, the city is covered with it's long time friend clouds.

Thats no longer a depression reason for me. I am counting days to go and embrace the turquoise. The girl runs to fun, to childhood, to loved ones, to Bruno, to family, to sea and sun and to all the aegean moments with love.

I am not yet leaving you though, I won't go without a notice, won't leave you just like that.

Sunny Places

I saw a dim of light outside and realized that it is finally a bit of sunshine. I am fed up with the cloudy and the rainy weather. Don't get me started on the temperature. Some warmth of the sun surely could get me better and get rid of this unhealthy me. As I don't have any control on the weather, thought I can bring some sunny and joyful places on my blog. Hope you are enjoying the nice weather wherever you are right now!

Turkish Tile Makes Me Happy

How did I end up writing about Turkish tiles whilst there are so many things to write. Because, today the weather is a day left from the winter and its all gray. Even my furnitures and walls look gray except three little piece of decorations which are Turkish pottery clays. Well, obviously I bought them from Grand Bazaar in Istanbul thinking that it will bring some color to my home and am proven right. It looks both classy and decorative (and just looks perfect on my coffee table).

The most hand crafted ones out there are İznik pottery and they are highly decorated ceramics. Originally influenced by Chinese porcelains, İznik tiles were far from imitation. They were adapted and Turkish motifs has been unique and subtle.

I was able to create that colorful image inside me lately. I have been very positive and assured that I am walking with solid steps towards my goal. Hoping to announce you soon with what it is, today will just enjoy my Turkish clays :)
