Spooky Friday

As I am writing this I am a witch. My colleagues are a dalmatian, scary clowns, arab sheikh, monster and austin powers. There are spider webs all around and all kind of scary creatures. So as you get the idea we are in a full Halloween mood. Its been crazy here. There were long ques in front of costume shops. There is a total Halloween madness in town. But its very entertaining at the same time.

So have a spooky, scary, crazy Halloween!

Pumpkin

If you still haven't heard, here are the big news: the autumn is here :) And i think best side of it is getting cozy :) and of course the pumpkins...

Different sizes, different shapes... But a great sweet taste to remind the joy of the coming season. Nowadays I am thinking of stocking some pumpkins as it get harder to find it during the winter. And of course we need one to make Jack-o-Lantern :)

Pinky French Friday

I am not going to France; I just have been keeping these images since the middle of the week thinking this glamorousness would only suit to Friday. Although its a doubt how one would survive the week in full glamour is unkown to me; but Friday sounds HEAVEN after a long week full of important decisions and early wake ups.

This week is the bank holiday, but won't do any effect on me since I'll be working (still you never know). But if I could, only if I could, Paris would be a great getaway. Hopefully some of you will do something woth telling later on. Have a great weekend!

Hurrayy!!! Its Friday!

I am tired. Very tired. I am happy that today is Friday. I am still sleepy, so try to ignore my soulless post. I was running around the whole week. Given some choices, put in the a middle of a dilemma.

Just enjoy it; no need to say much for Friday anyway.

Ladurée

I really had nothing for macaroons. In fact I thought they were nothing special until I had a French friend recently. We went to the luxury hall of a famous shop here to buy "Laduree" macaroons for her boyfriend's birthday. The shop was colorful, very pastel, just the way I like it. The French design and touch was very obvious in the shop. It had me when I stood there for couple of minutes. Then we left the shop. Couple of days passed. As I was walking down from the this luxury shop everyday, Laduree was always in my mind. Then when I got my paycheck I thougt it would be a treat. So I went into the shop and got 3 piece of macaroons in Chocolate(of course), Caramel and Raspberry flavours. It was in a very chic box (which is now a piece of decoration for my kitchen :)

Went home with this little box and had my first bite. It was heaven. I assure you I am not French or I don't work for Laduree. I am not advertising for them. But the taste was aamzing and I never had such a taste before. Now once in a while I go there to buy myself just one macaroon, if only I believe I deserve it :) So If you ever saw the shop, if you have a friend going to France or somewhere she/he can find Laduree, ask from them to bring you some macroons. Believe me, you'll love it!

Friday the Best Day

I can't wait for weekend to start. I am totally exhausted. Its been a busy weekend. Last night I had an unplanned dinner party. Getting up at 6.30 is not helping either. So I am wishing to sleep as much as I can tomorrow morning. And tomorrow is pampering day for me (don't you think I deserve it by now?). So I am hoping for a long and relaxing weekend. What more I am hoping is to make the weekeds three days including the fancy, happy, gorgeous fridays :)

Friday yay yay!

Do I need to say much? Should we just stop and enjoy the joy Friday brings? I guess I kinda missed the longing for Friday that you only feel when working :)

Last night I had to do some baking as we announced the Friday lunches to be sharing what each other cooks/bakes at work. I brought chocolate cake; it always wins over anything :) So I am planning a relaxing weekend although we have a farewell party, grocery shopping and maybe a tiny little bit shopping for myself to do. Did you make any plans? Any interesting activities there?

Corcaigh

A new job (I know, finally!), trainings in another city (oh well, that was fun) and an extended weekend is what kept me away. But I came back all hands full. Got a great weekend by the sea and in the mountains. Saw great scenes that no photo or word can reflect really. Saw a gazelle from a 100 m, fed wild duck looking weird bird couple, saved a dog from the shore that has been stranded because of the tide, had a great cup of coffee high in the mountains from the thermos I carried everywhere, lied in the grass under the blue sky by a gorgeous ocean scenery. Luckily the weather was beautiful. Got great shots which I am sharing here. Apparently there are really beautiful places in Irelad yet waiting to be discoverd.

Meanwhile, as I started to work all the social activities seems so get more intense compared to times I had the all day. Buts thats fine I guess. Seeing friends, especially the ones that lives far away, just makes me happy. At the same time, I am sad that good friends are leaving Dublin for good. Today I'll go out for dinner with a friend who is leaving on Sunday.

So far thats all. The rainy weather and the working routine is back on. Remind me to stay colorful.

September - the month of birthdays

Yesterday, it was my mom's birthday and today is my dear cousin's birthday. So this is definetely a post reason. Wish I could be there with them, but hopefully next year. I really give importance to birthdays of my loved ones (and mine as well), so I really want it to be a big deal rather than an ordinary day. Therefore, I do whatever I can from here.

I love you Mom, I love you little sister! I hope you have a great year with good times to remember and lots of laugh.

To play or not to play

I realized the times my inner author comes alive are the ones when its rainy and cold. So no wonder why Shakespeare and all other famous authors are from mostly England. You can even take popular Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings (J. K. Rowling and Tolkein) into account. At the end what they describe is England, and I got pretty clear picture of that by living there.

(p.s its not rainy today)

Since I mentioned the Harry Potter, I know realize that we spent the whole week playing Lego Harry Potter and Monopoly on Xbox. Harry Potter could be the best Xbox game from the lego series. The gameplay is so addictive, or it is to me since I read the whole Harry Potter series and bought the books at the moment they were published. For the Monopoly, it canput you on the odds with even your closest (did I mention that I am quite ambitious). Anyway, they are fun I can't wait the after-dinner time to continue where we left.

Sirmocco is Back!

Well well, I am back. I was gone for a month and a bit busy with catching up here so only now I can post. After changing hair color, nice and hot sea&sun&sand therapy, family and friends and a traffic accident later I am finally here.

Adaptating myself back here was and still is a bit of a challenge. The weather is not helping me out (except yesterday where I was about to burst into tears when I saw 24 degrees celcius in the car). But I am getting things done and onto a biiig project right now. It could be it for me, it could be the kick start of my unstoppable success. Lol!

Anyway. Its just a post to let you know I am back and will be back on the track with my posts.

Beachy Friday

You know I can't think of anything else than beaches. And it is a good way to end another Friday, right? Only 5 day left to fly away. Today, after finally getting house work done the whole week, I went out for some holiday shopping. The best side of it was the sale. When I normally shop, I would just think if it is gonna suit me. But when it is holiday shopping, I can hear the music in my mind, the lights of the night and the taste of the coctails. Yeah, I guess I really need the holiday asap :)

Embracing the Turquoise

I started to count down to get my butt down to sandy turquoise beaches. I think I am in love with the color. In a week I'll be gone, I'll be in peace and love, the sun will be all over me. I'll put everything high up somewhere for a month. I'll just enjoy the randomness. And I just can't stop counting down to it...

The Lollipop Tower

I haven't been writing much. Not like I used to write. I guess there are many things that has put me out of track. But here is one proof: Nice and warm weather (+funfairs on the street). How sun and blue skies makes everything different can be observed here in Dublin. The gloomy and dark posture of the city turns into something fun, something deceiving that you almost love it. Well well, guess what. As I am writing this post, the city is covered with it's long time friend clouds.

Thats no longer a depression reason for me. I am counting days to go and embrace the turquoise. The girl runs to fun, to childhood, to loved ones, to Bruno, to family, to sea and sun and to all the aegean moments with love.

I am not yet leaving you though, I won't go without a notice, won't leave you just like that.
